asp_components thread: CDO/MAPI Installation

Message #1 by "Vijaykumar P (RBIN/DBA-MST)" <Vijaykumar.P@i...> on Fri, 23 Nov 2001 04:31:30 +0100
Hi,

We have a ASP messaging app which uses CDO/MAPI. It works fine. But, to

install CDO, anyone of Microsoft Outllook 97 8.01 / MS outlook 98 / MS

outlook 2000 / MS Exchange client / MS Exchange Server needs to be

installed. We installed CDO by installing MS Outlook 97 8.01 and the

messaging app worked fine. But the app doesnt work properly if CDO is

installed with Outlook Web Access component of MS Exchange server with

Service Pack 2. It sends mails but doesnt add attachments. What maybe the

problem?

TIA,

- Vijay

boss,

y dont you go for some thrid party mailing components like serverobject's SMTP mailer or Dimac's Jmail as CDO is not so secure and
the attachments problems are not there in others.
