asp_database_setup thread: Re: Connection Unable to open registry key

I keep getting the following error (at least once a fortnight)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]General error Unable to open
registry key 'Temporary (volatile) Jet DSN for process 0x808 Thread 0x248
DBC 0xd093f84 Jet'.
When I compact the database it seems to fix the problem. But its driving
me crazy not knowing what is causing this error.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!

Use the native Jet OLEDB Provider instead:
