This all seems to be a american list, are there any developers form the UK?

Does anyone know if there are ever developer conferences around where

everyone gets together and talks and learns about ne techniques and

technologies?

TIA

That is funny I thought WROX was a UK company. I hate waiting till morning

to get updates from the previous day. But I don't want to complain because

the support is excellent. Wrox has developer conferences or at least they

play a large role in them. Hats off to the UK

Going a little off-topic, however...

It is.

Well, you have to wait until tomorrow because the list is fully-moderated,

and there are occasions when I'm actually asleep, so messages have to wait

until morning before I can approve them.

Certainly do! Check out:

http://www.wroxconferences.com/

You missed the European Wireless Developer Conference (and an excellent one

it was, too) but the Web Dev one in Autumn (or is that "fall"?) should be a

roaraway success, as well. The speakers are true cutting-edge boys, and

conference attendees will have a chance to really talk to them.

Nick,

Wrox themselves organised a Professional Web Developers Conference here in

the UK last year (end-November), and if you ever get the chance to get to

one of these conferences, I would definitely recommend. Last year's (which

might have been the first) cost around £ 850 for three days, and the

sessions were all excellent.

Unfortunately, I think this year's equivalent is being held in Las Vegas,

meaning that you'd have to fork out a bit more ......

The MSDN Briefings (organised by Microsoft) are also worth getting along to

if you get the chance - now usually held with evening slots, and they're

free ....

There's usually advance date information posted onto the MS MSDN site,

at 'http://msdn.microsoft.com' ....
