Hi there

I have a client who was entering data into a database and he says that a

couple of hundred KBs have disappeared out of it even though there still

appears to be the same amount of entries in it.

He had 1622 entries inn it last night and when he backed it up he was

told there was 934KBs in it.

This morning he entered another 100 entries but when he went to back it

up it warned him that the new file was smaller than the one he was

replacing, it was now only 706KBs.

He checked it and can't see any entries missing, how could this be?

Regards

Oliver Dempsey

If it is on a Windows 2000 box then there are some setting that will

automatically compress it. Novell has done this for years and Microsoft

kinda just started in on it.
