Is there any handy little programs out there that somebody could use to
upload pictures from their PC and automatically enter the URL in the
database?
Just something that would make it easier

Yes, there are a lot of ASP file upload components you can use. You can go
to http://aspin.com/ <http://aspin.com/> and they have compared pros/cons
of these component and most of them are free.
