Hello fellow programmers.
I'm having a problem calling a stored procedure when I'm opening my
recordset. The error I'm getting is:
Syntax Error
/AAO/gbsignedin.asp, line 143, column 32
objRS.Open up_parmins_Guestbook('" & strFirstname & "', '" & strLastname & _
-------------------------------^
Line 143 - 146 looks like this:
objRS.Open "up_parmins_Guestbook('" & strFirstname & "', '" & strLastname &
_
"', '" & strFavoritHomepage & "', '" & strEmailAddress & "', '" &
strComment & _
"', '" & strUsername & "', '" & strPassword & "', '" & strPortrait & _
"')", objConn, adOpenForwardOnly, adLockReadOnly, adCmdStoredProc

If up_parmins_GuestBook is the name of your sproc, you need to put it into
", because it is literal text.
Otherwise, you're telling ASP to call a routine called up_parmins_Guestbook,
which I suspect does not exist.
Cheers
Ken
