asp_databases thread: stopping a pages execution

Message #1 by Colin.Montgomery@C... on Mon, 11 Mar 2002 17:14:11 -0000
Hi,

I've got a page which is returning a recordset from Index Server. It works

fine for some search terms but for at least one it takes ages (I haven't

actually had the patience to wait for it to finish yet). Then on subsequent

calls for the page it appears locked up. If I wait a while (reckon on

20mins+) most search terms work fine, until I enter that same term.

This may be an Index Server thing, but I was wondering if it was possible

that it was simply generating a very large page/recordset and taking ages?

When I click on Stop in my browser does this tell the server (IIS4) to stop

executing any processes which the page was running?

Any help would be really appreciated,

Col
