I have a 2 part question.

1. What is the difference between using a MS ODBC connection and an SQL 
connection?

2. What is the difference between (MS ODBC) DSN vs. pointing to the file 
(is it just to hide your database / make it easier for multiple paths to 
connect to the same database?)
