I have had an odd drive failure on my W2000 server where everything works
properly except the SQL Server Enterprise Manager ...I probably need to
unistall SQL Server then re-install. But I would like to back up the
database first ...
Two questions ...
1. Will an uninstall of the SQL Server application delete the datafiles
and if not, will the re-installed SQL Server application be able to
recognize the old datafiles?
2. Obviously the proper way to deal with this is to have a backup ... but
I don't know how to do one without the Enterprise Manager ... is there a
way to backup a database from an ASP page?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
