asp_databases thread: strange error!!

Hi All,
I have an asp page which is designed for auto respond
email.But when I run it,following things are
displayed.apart from this nothing is displayed,no
information about the error only this single line
comes:
-2147417842 (0x8001010e)
when I refresh the page one or two times then the page
is displayed and works fine.
This is the first time I am encountering this problem.
Please help.

Did you try rebooting the webserver?

Dear UKH,
Actually its working fine in my webserver but I have
uploaded it on the server where the site is live.html
pages are working fine only the problem is coming in
this guestbook.asp page.
The URL is:
http://www.vsh-event.ch/guestbook.asp
Shall I request my hosting provider to restart the web
server.

Hello Mister,
A couple of times even I had similar probs. There was this file zipping
functionality suddenly decided to stop working. Only I been working on that
entire project and I didnt touch that code for several months until that
prob occured. I spent like good 4 hours and could not troubleshoot until I
decided to reboot the machine and voila things fixed themselves. Later on I
found out the sys admin at my client's site installed some software on that
same machine that messed with my asp application.
So, moral of the story is Windows is very flaky and unpredictable. So, I
would start with rebooting the machine. The problem could be totally
different in your case but rebooting doesnt hurt, if we can. Call and tell
your service provider your problem and see what he can do for you to fix
your problem. Some of the good providers disable the usage of anonymous
emailing from their websever for good business practises purpose.
