asp_databases thread: Connecting to MySQL database

I'm trying to figure out how to connect to a MySQL database using ASP. I
typically connect to an Access database, but I want to move on to a more
robust database that can handle greater traffic. I want to avoid ODBC. Can
anyone point me in the right direction for accessing a MySQL database using
ASP?
