I'm trying to develop a site running ASP applications on a shared Windows 

2000 IIS 5.0 remote ISP server with MS Access databases. I understand one 

can restrict access to individiual HTML pages to authorized users, but can 

you password-protect an entire directory containing hundreds of document 

files so that just a single login is required? Portions of the site needs 

to be available to the public. 



If not possible on a shared server, how about a dedicated application 

server as offered by CIHost, DellHost, etc.?
