I've got Windows 2000 Advanced Server with SQL Server 7 running for
personal use, just so that i can mess about at home. Problem is that I've
started to get errors occuring and I've got about 20 sites running. I made
a ghost image of the drive before all websites and SQL settings were done,
does anyone know how i can back up the IIS and SQL server setting
(including SP's and DB data) so that when I recover the system from ghost
these can (simply) be restored with exactly the same settings.
One the same note, I also need to back up the actual site data, and
permissions associated with those folders, is this IIS or Windows? Someone
has suggested that .TAR files save this extra info, can anyone shed any
light on this as i haven't ben able to verify this. What prgram can
create .TAR file?
And once this is done I will make a full ghost image so its easier to
restore!!!
thanks for your help
