Hi, I am currently learning ASP (Wrox Press, Beginning Active Server Pages 

3.0)



I was a web-designer before this so programming is new to me. I am now 

learning VBScript, ADO etc, but I read that ASP.NET does not support 

VBScript anyway. I was wondering if I should be focussing more on learning 

Visual Basic instead?



My other question is should I buy "Beginning Visual Basic 6.0" 

or "Beginning Visual Basic.NET"? I don't really have plans to write 

software apps as such, I see myself staying in the web-application realm.



ALso, If I could ask one more question, how long do you think it will take 

for ASP.NET to become the norm, i.e. take over ASP 3.0 entirely?
