Message #1 by "Masoud Samimi" <samimi73@y...> on Sat, 25 Aug 2001 19:27:51
Hi,

This is my sql syntax:

        sql = "execute sp_AddClient '" & _

	       chrFirstName & "', '" & _

	       chrLastName & "', '" & _

	       chrCompany & "', '" & _

	       chrCity & "', '" & _

	       chrAddress & "', '" & _

	       chrActivity & "', '" & _

	       chrWebURL & "', '" & _

	       chrPhone & "', '" & _

	       chrFax & "', '" & _

	       chrZipCode & "', '" & _

	       chrEmail & "', '" & _

	       chrPassword & "', '" & _

	       chrProvince & "', '" & _

	       chrCountry & "', '" & _

	       chrActivity & "', '" & _

	       chrRequest & "', '" & _

	       chrContacts & "', '" & _

	       chrTelOne & "', '" & _

	       chrTelTwo & "', '" & _

	       chrTelThree & "', '" & _

	       chrFaxOne & "', '" & _

	       chrFaxTwo & "', '" & _

	       chrFaxThree & "', '" & _

	       chrTelOneExt & "', '" & _

	       chrTelTwoExt & "', '" & _

	       chrTelThreeExt & "', " & _

	       intHaveWebY & ", " & _

	       intLocalYN & ", " & _

	       intAddMeYN

I get this error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Line 1: Incorrect syntax

near ','.

/twcb/emailapplication.asp, line 143

And the line 143 code is:

	set rsClients = dbClients.Execute(sql)

Please, any ideas what's wrong?

Cheers,

Masoud

Before executing your SQL, do a response.write(sql) and write it to the

screen, when assembled you will easily be able to see the error, if not,

send teh final sql here and I will look at it for you.

Hi Monique,

Thank you very much. :)

The Response.Write made it so clear. I was passing two wrong parameters

to the SP, but the error message was not helpful! :(

Cheers,

Masoud
