I want to generate a report in pdf by deirectly
taking recordsets from the databaseCan anyone will
send me the code sample.

You will need a component to generate a PDF file.
www.activePDF.com have a good one, but it costs.

But I am looking for free of cost
things.......or might be some other way to accomplish
my task.. without using the component..Is there?

You can check this website, they have a bunch of free stuff,
http://www.pdfzone.com/products/software/index.html However, in my
experience I found ActivePDF to be a much more (.10 words) viable and
robust solution.
