hi all !!!!

can anyone guide me as to how to connect to a database (SQL-Server) on a 
website, like using what connection string can i connect to the database 
on a particular website without having to use DSN.  i know the web site 
name, the database username and password, the database i need to connect 
to.  what other info would be required by me and what is the connection 
string going to look like.
