Can anyone help me here? My original request is below. I want to be
able to print long ASP pages and put headers and footers on each page.
Sometimes it will be landscape, sometimes portrait. This is on a LAN
with only businesses PC's, so if there is some way to read the PC
printer settings including orientation, this would be perfectly ok. I
really need this quick. Please help ASAP if you can.
Thanks,
Chris Thompson

What I want is a way on the ASP side to get the current printer of the
PC looking at the page and then format it accordingly. I realize ASP is
server side making it not possible to get his kind of info. I want to
be able to put page headers and footers in on printouts of long reports.
Any ideas on how to do this?
Thanks,
Chris Thompson

I've looked into this before when having to print financial reports.
The only way we could see of doing it was to use an ActiveX control -
there are some available on the 'net that might do the trick you want re.
the different printers, but it's a long shot.
Also, unless you can write the control yourself, it'll cost you to use it.
If anyone's got a free solution, I'd be interested to know myself!

Will all of your readers have a word processing program on their PC's? If
so, I will send you some code for creating your ASP reports in RTF that can
be viewed in word. It's pretty easy, but takes a little getting used to.
