asp_web_howto thread: Indexing Services

Hopefully a simple question! Is it possible, and if so how, to index
*only* image/multimedia (mainly CAD) files based on the image name?
I'am using Win 2000, IIS5 and wouls like to create a search engine for
technical drawings.

yes, in your search page, you can specify filename. - assuming that your
files have the same suffix. You can also specify domains or directories you
wish to index - so you could just put them all in one directory tree.
