1. Find someone who was at the PDC, kill them and steal their copy of the
preview CD.
2. Break into Microsoft, Redmond, Washington State - and steal their copy.

We will more than likely be releasing a alpha version of ASP+ to the web
this month. Keep watching http://msdn.microsoft.com for more details.

we'll be posting the .net sdk (part of what was given out at pdc) on
msdn.microsoft.com in the next couple of weeks.

The .NET Frameworks SDK was just posted on the MSDN Universal Subscriber
Downloads site at http://msdn.microsoft.com
It's not available to the public yet. I would also assume that these are the same build as the PDC Bits, so they are "pre beta."

Yes, Rodert. My understanding is that what you see on the download is
exactly what individuals like me have got installed on our systems from
those very PDC discs. The only reason this message from Robert Howard went
out again is because Rob Howard's _original_ message had - what I take to
be - his standard footer which included some personal contact details
which (I assume - and I've been in touch with the chap, but I forgot to
ask him about this _specifically_)... which he _presumably_ he wouldn't
want to be available to the world in general.
In my haste to get this news to the world on Tuesday, I sent the message
through exactly as he sent it. However, today, I (as moderator) realised
that I only want subscriber's personal details, such as Rob Howard's, to go
out to other people who're willing (or bothered) to actually _subscribe_ to
the list. I didn't want folks who "visit the site without joining" to have
access to this fellow's personal conact details.
The upshot of this, is that I had to delete his original mail... BUT, the
inflexibility of our mail system then means I had to _resend_ his original
message with the personal stuff "munged-off", in order for it to appear in
the messageboard format (which our mail system also offers: especially to
"visit the site without joining" type individuals). After all, it's the
kind of message that could draw a lot of attention from "visit without
joining" type individuals - people like, say, our mate "Joel" (he's my
hero), who's getting so much publicity over on the DOTNET ng. (BTW, I
gather he worked on the Excel project - was _he_ the one who coded the
Flight Simulator?)
Basically, the only reason we're having this conversation, is I didn't do
my job right in the first place - all through my wilful enthusiasm for ASP.
My appologies Rob.
DTH - HIMD (does that help? - Hell, It may do!)
