Well, me old mate, you can't get hold of the PDC copy. What (after all)

would be the point of charging people for the privilige of attending the

coinference, if you then made one of the main exhibits a shareware program?

(I have it on good authority that even the open source boys try to make

_some_ cash in between eating all that pizza)

However, we're grateful for the MS people telling us that what (I assume)

is essentially a replia of what is on that CD will soon be downloadable

from the MSDN site (cudos to them for saying that and my sincere thanks -

and, yes, I'm sure we're not the only site they've posted this important

message to). You must not be off-put by the fact that what they will relase

will be an Alpha... after all, what I've got on my Dell at work will only

run on an Win2k system with IE5.5 and IIs 5 installed - if we compare that

with a system that is designed to be backward-compatible with all 32-bit

Windows OS, then what I have is no more than an Alpha, as I would

understand the term, so don't think you'll have some sort of cut-price

version of what I've got to play with at work. my guess is, it's more or

less the same thing. Am I right, Microsoft gurus?
