I'm unable to install ASP.NET. I've got an Athalon700 running Win2k
Pro/i28mb RAM/20gig HD/IE5.5. The installation aborts halfway through with
the error - 'Internal error 2355'. I've searched high and low for a
solution, the closest I got was a reference in the archives on this list to
an 'Internal error 2359'. This was possibly related to a permissions
problem. I checked the permissions on my machine and all appears correct.
Does anyone have any suggestions how I may resolve this issue? Thanks for
your time.

Are you logged in as an Administrator ?
Have you installed SP1.
Are you using original memory ?
Have you pre-beta installed ? ( if so remove it and reboot you computer
before you install beta 1 )

Thanks very much for your suggestions:

No

Yes

No, I couldn't install that either!
In conclusion, I think I shall tootle off and download SP1 and see if that
resolves the issue. Thanks again for the input.

There should be an error log and and install log which
come with .net beta, look at this for a bit more info.
Also may be wise to check permissions. I know that the
system account needs to have permissions on certain
directories (win and inetpub)....
