Is it possible for a non .Net Client to access a web

service created by VS.Net.



I want to eliminate shipping of proxy dlls to the

client and would prefer the old way accessing the web

service directly through a SDL as we do it in SOAP

(ROPE).



Also have you guys any idea on the SOAP implementions

on a non windows platform. Does UNIX etc have anything

like the SOAP toolkit in VS 6.0.
