aspx thread: Browser Independence

Message #1 by Scott Watermasysk <swatermasysk@C...> on Fri, 5 Jan 2001 08:15:30 -0500
Good Morning All,

I have been working with ASP for a while, but I am very new to ASP.Net.

I have notice a lot of pretty cool new features.

Is this new version of ASP still browser independent?

Thanks,

-Scott

Well, yes, it's all server-side functionality. No browser on earth can

have an opinion about anything it's dealt until it's dealt to it, can it?

The new browser independent features lead to much more flexibility than the

previous browser component, we're led to believe. As I understand, ASPX

generates its HTML to conform to the HTML 3.2 standards, but will be able to

customize code for even older browsers? Right?
