When is the .net platform and ASP+ going to be out of beta form?
When are the big hosting companies going to start supporting it?

Dean,
No body really knows for sure. We have one or two
BETA's got get through before we see the released
product. The developers at Microsoft have a favorite
saying: "When its ready and not before".
We can probably expect a new BETA in the next two
to three months, and depending on if they do another
BETA they will probably release very late this year
or earlyish in the new year.
This is all speculation ofcourse :)

True, although, i dont know about you, but i've been hearing more and more about the
BETA 2 release on some other discussion groups. things that are one way in beta 1,
but different in beta 2 (already done, or so it sounds). things that will be
different (meaning, they are planned to be included) and so on.
i do agree, it will be late this year (around october, i'm guessing) before you see
it released, officially.

There wont be a Beta 3. I read this yesterday on a newsgroup on the
public MS Server.
Beta 2 will be the last release after final :-)

Beta 2 will be released in April, although Microsoft hasn't really said that officially yet. I have
some people who have "ears" at MS, which is how I know. Beta 2 will be the "code complete" edition of the platform , with the only
changes between ot and the final release being bug fixes.
Supposedly, the release date of the final product will be in August/September.
