Hi
Though i am not a ASP professional. I am hearing more about this new
technology that is not yet launched named ASP Plus
After going thru after a few sites i came to know what that is actually.
Now there are Two Main questions
1. What is the actual diff between ASP plus and ASP.Net
2. What are the Min system req to install and use ASP.Net
Thanks in Advance
Regards,
Satish Vellanki

There's this company called "Microsoft" (you may have heard of it), which
has a website that answers these questions:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/net
Cheers

Hi,
ASP. Net is the new (or) updated name given to Asp Plus. To install
ASP+ you need Win2000 server or WINNT Server. We can get the optimum
perfomance of asp.net in win 2000.

Unfortunately, Microsoft will only answer the second question. They renamed ASP+ to
ASP.Net for conformity, but i dont recall seeing any documentation on this.

By now everyone has answered the asp+ to asp.NET question. But there seems
to be much debate about the ME/PWS question.
According to MicroSoft's own asp.net faq page (http://www.asp.net/faq.aspx)
asp.NET will not run on 95,98 or ME.
You must run Windows 2000 (either Pro, Server or Advanced Server) and IIS
(it doesn't say 4 or 5) to run ASP.NET.
This page is also very helpful for any other questions as well as links to
other ASP.NET pages.

Sincerely,
