Origional Question:

myasmjj23@h... asks:
Hi,
I am a VB developer holding a MCSD. I've been working for a few months.
However, I think I have a little experience with VB application
development. My question is: Do I need any special courses so that I can
begin programming using the VB.NET framework?
Thanks & Regards,
Mahmood Salama

Hi Mahmood,
Although there will be lots of companies offering training courses for
VB.NET, ASP.NET and the .NET Framework -- this definitely won't be
required unless you want to attend.
Instead, you can get started today by simply browsing some of the many
online samples, listservs and websites devoted to .NET. In particular,
I'd recommend checking out the below URLs for more info:
www.asp.net (has pointers to dozens of other .NET sites)
www.aspnextgen.com
www.aspnextgen.com/quickstart (900+ ASP.NET and .NET samples -- all in
VB.NET)
www.asptoday.com (a lot of good ASP.NET and .NET articles)
www.IBuySpy.com (some great end-to-end application samples)
There is also a great new Wrox VB.NET book that is out in bookstores
now. It does a very good job walking people through using the new
platform.
Hope this helps,
Scott
