Hi All,

    I had downloaded the .Net Framework SDK (111Mb). I

tried installing the package on Windows NT 4

Workstation with SP6. The follwing steps were

followed.



1. After I started installing, the package asked for

IE 5.5. Hence I installed IE 5.5 as well.



2. Then the installation continued and it asked that

some windows components need to be updated and should

it go ahead ?



After I said Yes, the installation ran for sometime

and Windows NT gave a Dr. Watson's error which said

that there is an Application Error with install.exe



If anybody has faced similar problems before and/or

has some idea why this is happenning, Please let me

know.



Please do not give frivolous answers like I should go

for Windows 2000 and all as I would have gone for them

if I had access to the software.



Also Please note that the downloaded file is Ok and it

did not give a file download error OR corruption

error.



If anybody says that it was a file downloaded error,

Please justify it.



I would be grateful if anybody can provide a solution.
