aspx thread: Professional ASP.NET Book Code Examples

Message #1 by "Pete Ehli" <peteehli@a...> on Thu, 16 Aug 2001 15:01:29 -0700
Does anyone know where the C# source code is for Professional ASP.NET? I

downloaded the code and it seems to be all VB.NET! I was told there was

separate code examples in C#. You think the people at Wrox would have two

downloads - one VB.NET the other C#. Maybe I missed it. Thanks in advance.

Ok I did a search *.cs via the code examples and found that it is mixed in

there. This dual book theory is just a way for Wrox to rake in the bucks. I

wasn't going to buy this book but a lot of people recommended it. People

with advanced ASP.NET experience didn't like it. Man I hate looking at VB

code - no offense to VB programmers, I also hate looking at SQL. I will just

have to bite my lip and make the best of it. Wrox you win this one, but if

there was a wider selection I wouldn't have to go this route.

You know, VB.NET and C# are very similar and I think its good

programming practice to go ahead and try to convert the VB code to C#.

It might take up a little bit more of your time, but it'll be

beneficiary in the long run.

What is it about SQL that you hate?
