aspx thread: ASPNET_WP does not start

Message #1 by "Reuben Cleetus" <rcleetus@y...> on Tue, 25 Sep 2001 16:50:04
Hello All,

I'm having a big problem: My ASPNET_WP process does not start, and so I

cannot debug ASPX Pages, and cannot see Web Controls.

Can you please help in resolving this problem.

Thanks,

Reuben Cleetus.

Reuben, I don't have much experience with ASPX code, I think I remember

having the same problem. The VS environment gave me an error message saying

that could not start the application, but it also gave me the change to

click "Yes" and "No". The "Yes" option was to fix the error and execute the

code, that is what I did and I haven not had that problem since then.

In other words, try to run it again, and if you get this error message,

click Yes.

I hope this helps, Marcelo.

Ruben,

Not sure if this will help either - check that the ASP.net debugging

option is set to "true". Select "Project" / "Properties" you will see

it under configuration properties / Debugging.

Also check that the tags for your web controls are not in your HTML

header.

David
