Hello,
I'm interested in the langauge choices made
with ASP .NET. I saw a poll at www.worldofdotnet.net that suggests that
the split of web development for C# is about 50% and VB .NET about 40%,
leaving 10% scattered amongst the other languages. The language I am
particularly interested in is JScript .NET. Is anyone using this, and if
so why? I'd be interested in hearing your views, either here or offline
(amandak@w...).
Thanks,
Amanda

Amanda,
I deal a lot with migration from ASP to ASP.NET, which is the reason why I
work mostly with VB.NET. C# is easy to pickup if you have a C++, Java or
JavaScript background. If you have been working with ASP in JavaScript,
sticking to it may be a good choice. ASP to ASP.NET migration with pages
created in JavaScript takes much less work than those written in VBScript
that have to be changed to VB.NET.
