Yes, it is a PDC. What is the fix?

also have to give read permission to the
C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705\Temporary ASP.NET Files Along
with allowing the ASPNET account to log on interactively in group
policy. I have to agree, what a lame bug!!

Yeah, what a lame bug. .NET tries to use the local ASPNET account, when
it added the yourdomain\ASPNET account during install. I found the fix
on Google, it's not even posted on Microsoft's site yet. There's a
setting in your machine.config somewheres.

Is this a PDC? There is a known bug with the install on a PDC. If so I
have a fix!

Subject: [aspx] Problem with ASP.Net Pages after Installation
Hello everyone and thanks for your help in advance. I am setting up a
new
webser and downloaded and installed the .Net Framework and SDK from the
Microsoft site. I am running Windows 2000 Server and IIS 5.0. The
installation went fine, but when I try to access an ASP.Net page I
receive
the following error:
"Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is
currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web
browser to retry your request.
Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this
specific
request failure can be found in the system event log of the web server.
Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to
occur. "
When I check the event log, I see the following:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: ASP.NET 1.0.3705.0
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1007
Date: 8/29/2002
Time: 4:40:25 PM
User: N/A
Computer: SHELFIE
Description:
aspnet_wp.exe could not be launched because the username and/or password
supplied in the processModel section of the config file are invalid.
Obviously it is a security configuration, but I do not knwo where to
start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
