Hallo all,

I have a problem with MSSQL2000, I'm using winXP prof.
The problem is, I cann't login with "sa" or other username I have ever made,
but its working if I'm using
windows authentication mode. If I'm login with "sa" or other username this
message shown "unable to connect to server localhost ... Reason : Not
associated with a trusted SQL Server Connection".

would you like tell me, what should I do ?

Hi,

I had the same problem and eventually figured it out, so I wrote this note
to myself:
(I'm also connecting to sql server 2000 on xp pro)

Remember this for the future: the reason a login/pwd didn't connect is
simply because the server's authentication was set to windows only; right
click the server (has green arrow) in enterprise manager; properties;
security; change authentication to sql server and windows (will require you
close and reopen sql server); now all of the appropriate logins will
connect;

HTH,

Bernie Yaeger

By default SQL Server 2000 installs in Windows Authentication mode only. You
can change this in Enterprise Manager if you really want (though I recommend
using Windows Authentication)

Cheers
