aspx thread: IIS configuration for .Net

I installed VS.Net on my Windows XP Professional machine, with IIS. After
having the framework already installed and setup configuring correctly, I
still can't get it to recognize the .aspx extension. I setup a virtual
directory for a .Net application in IIS, but when I open the file in IE,
it tries to open the .aspx file as a document (as it pops up the box
prompting for Open, Save, or Cancel). I tried to configure the .aspx
extension in IIS, but it wouldn't allow me to add the extension, and I'm
not sure what .dll file is required to process the .aspx files. Any help,
thanks.
