aspx_beginners thread: beginning asp.net using vb.net book question

hi,
i had a question about the book, beginning asp.net using vb.net, i was
planning on buying it but wanted to know if someone could please tell me
what kind of applications the authors build in the book. are they many?
one big one? i was thinking about learning the .net technology so i caould
it for my senior project in college, but first i wanted to know what's
covered in this book.

The book is designed to teach the basic principles of ASP.NET from scratch,
and it takes you through various types of examples to show all the different
aspects of ASP.NET in use. As such, there isn't one application being used
throughout the whole book, but I guess you could see it as a collection of
varied examples that build your knowledge up in steps so that you can see
how it all fits together. It's designed to be worked through from beginning
to end, and by the time you reach the end of the book, you should have built
up enough knowledge to be able to put your own ASP.NET applications
together.
