This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
------=_NextPart_000_000C_01C22CF8.D25E9280
Content-Type: text/plain;
charset="iso-8859-1"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
I am just starting in on the book "Beginning ASP.NET with Visual
Basic.NET."
In Chapter One, on page 41, under the heading "Configuring Directory
Security", I am instructed to right click the BegASPNET folder I have
created on my c: drive and select the "Properties" option. Next I am
directed to select the "Security Tab" This tab does not exist. Does
anybody have any idea why?
I am running Windows XP Professional and have installed both the MDAC
2.7 and the .NET Framework.
Thanks for your help.

If it's the same as what I experienced, it's a Windows XP setting.
Double-click on My Computer. From the Tools menu, select Folder Options,
then click on the View tab. The last item in the Advanced settings list is
"Use simple file sharing (recommended)." De-select that setting.
I'm not sure whether I had to log off/log on before it took effect.
