aspx_beginners thread: I DONT HAVE A FAX MODEM WORKING

I am on advanced server 2000 on my own 1 laptop. I have used iis in the
past on a XP PRO.
My problem is, when ever i try to open IE it tries to go through this GDF
conection wizard. SO with out the connection set up i cant view files on
my web server???
GRRRR Thiss iis thing is the worst thing in ASP history!

Run through the Wizard once - or open IE then goto tools / Internet options
/ Connections and set it NOT to dial a connection.

i tried that the not dial a connection is disabled....

You need to have a "network" connection since your IP address is tied to
it. If you do not have a network card, then use the Microsoft Loopback
Adapter to fake out your laptop.
