On the back of the book there is a "road map" for suggestions about books
and in what order. The professional asp.net is next on the list. I am
currently reading the beginning asp .net book with C# but I all ready have
background with C#. Having said that, the beginners book does a good job of
explaining just what you need to know about C#. I have looked through the
pro book (actually I bought it and found it too hard with no asp/asp.net
experiance)it is mostly an expansion of the beginners book with real life
case studies and how to implement them but the C# code in it is pretty much
the same as the code in the beginners book if you understand the C# code in
asp .net then you should have no problem with the pro book.
I guess what I am trying to say is If you only want to know asp.net stuff
then go with the asp .net pro book. If you would like to know actual
programming for windows then go with the C# book.
