I'm not sure if you could use an ocx with regular ASP.  I know you can write your
own active documents (.vbd file) in VB 6 and use those on the web, but they actually
downloaded a DLL to the client's machine so they could execute properly.  I know
that you can use VB 6 dlls in asp.net, but you have run that type library
"converter" to give it an interface that asp.net can use.  I haven't seen any
documentation on using a VB 6 ocx with any of the .net stuff.  Mainly because of how
things are compiled in the environment, would be my guess.  I would suggest seeing
if you can get a VB6 ocx to work on a VB.Net winform.  if that works, then try
getting it work with an asp.net page, but i think that's too far of a jump.  I am in
no way an authority on this, but my feeling is that it wont work.

how sophisticated is this label control anyway?  asp.net has lots of power for
coding.  also, a label control isn't going to receive any user actions, so what kind
of things are you doing to have it do?  there might be another way to do what yuo're
looking for.
