Subject: [aspx_professional] Relaying Error to Hotmail Addresses
Hi all
I get the following error message when sending e-mail via ASP.NET to a
hotmail address,
(using System.Web.Mail)
'System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8004020F):
The server rejected one or more recipient addresses. The server response
was: 550 Relaying is prohibited '
I think it's to do with Hotmail's spamming system and may also concern how
the header in the e-mail is sent.
Has anyone else experienced this and come up with a work-around?
Phil

These books are a complete reference to the ASP.NET namespaces
for developers who are already familiar with using ASP.NET.
There is no trivial introductory material or useless .NET
hype and the presentation of the namespaces, in an easy-to use
alphabetical order ensures a user-friendly reference format.
We provide in-depth coverage of all the major ASP.NET classes,
giving you those real-world tips that the documentation doesn't
offer, and demonstrating complex techniques with simple
examples.
