Have you assigned write permissions in IIS and through Windows Explorer,
i.e. on the security tab?

YOU DID WHAT???????
That was not a good idea, re run the installation or re run a service pack
for VS.
When you have your ASPNET user back , in your aspx application enable
impersonation in your webconfig , doing this will enable the code to run
under the user accessing the page security details , i.e. if userx views
your page when the aspx page tries to copy the file across it will do all
authentication and security checks using usersx credentials. So you could
either have a list of users in your security tab (which in this instance
would include userx) or you would have the everyone group added this way you
wouldn't have to maintain a ACL.
There are other ways of controlling impersonation, i.e. you can impersonate
on in you code as well. Do a search on www.google.com
<http://www.google.com/> and http://msdn.microsoft.com
<http://msdn.microsoft.com/> for impersonation and it will bring up some
articles for yoU!
HTH , BTW don't delete your ASPNET account next time ;-)

Carlos Magalhaes
