Please help

 Back ground details : 

  I have a Small Business 2000 Server to which I have loaded Visual
  Studio .Net (Professional Version).

  I am currently working my way through Effective Visual Studio .Net and
  everything has been working as expected up until chapter 4 - Web
  Application Development.

  The first problem I encountered was with respect to Page 97 - 
  Viewstate - when I tried to use the View In Browser where I kept 
  getting the following error

          Server Application Unavailable

          The web application you are attempting to access on the web
          server is currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh"
          button in your web browser to retry your request.

    I also get the same error after advancing to Page 109 when doing 
    <Ctrl><F5> to start the project.

   I am afraid I don't know where to look or what to do to get over this 
   problem. I can certainly connect to the internet while logged onto 
   the server so my IE5 browser is available (Note I have a ADSL
   connection).

   Do I need to set some parameter within Visual Studio .Net? 

   I've checked Tools|Options|Environment|Web Browser which has the 
   following settings - but I'm unsure if they are correct or not
     
     Home Page:  vs:/default.htm
                 use default (checked)

                 http://msdn.microsoft.com
                 use default (checked)

     View Source In    Source editor (checked) 

   If anyone has any suggestions as to what is causing the problem and
   how I can retify it I would be much appreciated for you help.
