I guess you've had a chance to play with Web matrix for a while now. What
does everybody think about it? Does it beat Visual Studio .NET for making
web pages? Does it beat notepad?

I am a total newbie to any form of web developement... I just got the new
Wrox book on designing dynamic webpages with asp.net & Web Matrix. I
gotta say " WEBMATRIX ASP and .NET KICK ASSSS " this stuff is like
front page VB . I like it because i can be stupid now and still do hard
code and as i learn more VB.net I can build on my design capabilities.
this is the first Web tool that I have totally fallen in love with. Thank
you MS your finally getting your sh*t together ..I might quit fiddling
with the open source crap for awhile now.

Chris

I'm glad you like Web Matrix, and I'm also glad that you bought the book...
I was the commissioning editor for the title.

I think Microsoft have pulled off a good trick with Web Matrix. I'm
surprised that they don't publicize it more, but in a way it feels good
being part of a select group. :)

I'd be fascinated to know what you think of the book. I'm very pleased with
the way it's turned out, but the first few weeks after a book hits the
shelves is always nerve-wracking... we can see it starting to sell, but it's
often a month or two before we get much meaningful feedback.

Good luck with your websites.

Dave
