I'm having a problem setting delimiters on an outbound X12 document.
On the "Envelope Information" window of the port in BizTalk Messaging
Manager, I click the "Delimiters..." button and can set the "Component
element seperator", the "Element seperator", and the "Segment
terminator".
However, not all Hexidecimal values are acceptable.
For example: A trading partner I deal with needs either a hexidecimal
"1E"
or a hexidecimal "1C" as the segment terminator.
Whenever I enter either of these two values in for the segment
terminator, I
get an error message saying "An invalid character was found in text
content".
1) Why can I not use hexidecimal "1E" or "1C" as the segment terminator?
2) Is there NO way I can have these values as segment terminators within
BizTalk, or do I have to resort to an outside application to alter the
documents after BizTalk has generated them?
