Thanks, Abdul. I must have edited those two pages outside of Dreamweaver 
(from my internet site editor) and then ftp'd them back down into my local 
folder. Sigh....I guess I'll have to just check out every tag on the 
pages -- probably i'll use w3c validator to do so. but at least the site 
renders ok to the outside world -- it would be much worse if my situation 
were reversed! :)
