Rather than provide a detailed explanation, I'll point out that the JRUN
docs are pretty clear about that. Is there something more that you want? If
you hadn't looked at them yet, you'll find them where you installed JRUN at
..Allaire\JRun\docs\dochome.htm.
Or, if for some reason you can't access that directory (it's on a remote
server, or someone else controls the server box), they're also available
online at Allaire's site (allaire.com). Take the "developer" link at the top
of the page, and on that next page use the "documentation", then "JRUN
docs". It offers both 3.0 and 3.01 docs.
The specifics you're looking for are in the book "Developing Web Apps with
JRUN". First, see the chapter "Developing EJBs" (which has a section called
"directories for ejb") and then the chapter "Deploying Applications" (which
has a section called "Deploying EJBs").
Each section is pretty complete and should provide the answers you seek.
