Just read the book, I was wondering why the servlet filters are never 
mentioned. Do you think they represent a bad design technique ? Or maybe not 
significant at the book level ?

I find them elegant sometimes, for specific processes in the web thier (for 
example image resizing, or grant accesses...).

But maybe I'm wrong ? what do you think ?
