flash_programming thread: dialog style box

Clifford,

Thank you. I'll try this as well.

----

Karry,

Instead of using the alpha setting to make the box disapear why not try
using the load / Unload movie commands putting the box onto a different
level within the movie. It's how I do it and it works fine.

Have Fun!

Clifford Agius.

Subject: [flash_programming] dialog style box

Hello,

I wanted to create a dialog style box that pops up when a user pushes a
button. I was able to create a movie clip with two button embedded into
it that appears when you click on the user button. I was even able to
have the buttons do the commands that they were required to do, but for
what ever reason when I tell it to also return this dialog box's alpha
setting to zero it won't do it. In fact if I try and change any of the
property of the box...from the buttons embedded in it, it won't work. I
can make property changes from buttons outside the box. The idea is that
the box is verifying that the user wants to print the flash pages and if
the dialog box does not disappear...what would be the point of
printing? Could you please help.

Karry
