Hello To all Members

I want to insert Euro Currency Sign in select tag.When I go thru the 
browser it shows only straight line at that place.I am using IE5.
The entity equivalent of the same is €

Here is my code
<select name......>
<option>Euro €</option>
<option>US $</option>
</select>
