iis_applications thread: HTTP Error

New development - I seem to have corrected the problem by accident. After I clicked on "Check Server
Extension" for the default website on the server, the system reported that my _vti_bin was not executable and has now been
corrected. When I used VID to create a new project then, it was smooth. I tried opening the existing ones, no problem, either.

I don't really use terminal service.
It sounds like there might be some setting changes if something works before but not anymore. Since you already create a project,
you can test this by creating another project using same method you used before.
You can also check if your project still in the server machine. It looks like your project name should show between the last two
"//".
Thanks.

Here are the answers to your questions -
Are you trying to use VID 6.0 editing a page which is on a server machine, then you get the error message?
Yes, you are right.
Have you create your own VID project?
The project has already been created. I created the project on a client machine which can remotely update the copy on the server.
It was working well couple of days ago.
Do you have IIS server on the machine you're using Visual InterDev?
No, I don't. I have Windows 2000 on the client machine. IIS 5.0 and Server Extension are installed on the server. I can remotely
access the server through Terminal Service Client.
Or you got the error when you try to browse the page with a web browser?
No. Browsing the page with a web browser is fine. It displays even when the web address is "http://servername.subdomain.domain//".
Let me know if you need any further information. Thanks.

Still not clear. Are you trying to use VID 6.0 editing a page which is on a server machine, then you get the error message?
Have you create your own VID project? Do you have IIS server on the machine you're using Visual InterDev? Or you got the error when
you try to browse the page with a web browser?
Unless you give more description of what steps and environment you have, no one can really help.

Sorry, I was not very clear explaining myself. I am actually building a website using Visual InterDev 6.0. When I try to
open a webpage in Project Explorer, I come across this problem.

What do you mean "try to open a web page"? How do you do it?

Dear All:
I have problem remotely accessing the default website on the server.
Everytime I try to open a web page, the client machine is trying to
connect to "http://servername.subdomain.domain//", then give me an error
message "Unable to open web project '/'. An HTTP error occurred....". I do
not know what to do to get rid of the extra '/'. If any of you have any
idea or clue, please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
June Lu
